The "Freccia" was the first low-wing fighter monoplane of the Regia Aeronautica (the italian royal airforce). Entirely metallic, with retractable landing gear and closed cockpit, it flew for the first time in 1937 and entered service the following year. It was very maneuverable, but the engine was not very powerful and the on-board armament was not adequate, especially when compared to the British fighters it would have had to deal with, since it had only two Breda 12.7 mm machine guns. It was used since the beginning of the Second World War in all operational theaters, especially in the North African one. A total of 781 G50s were produced, which continued to be used (even as fighter-bombers) throughout the conflict, even when the aircraft was definitely outdated. Among the latest actions were the air operations against the allied landing heads in Sicily, in July '43, where the "Freccia" squadrons suffered high losses.

The 1/200 scale model measures 3.9 cm in length and 5.5 in wingspan. In each package of Mussini models there are 2 G50s, already assembled.
