Produced starting from 1938 until the end of '39, when the assembly were closed to make way for the production of the M13, it turned out to be a vehicle not up to the situation, because of its light armor and insufficient armament. The M11, in fact, had a 37 mm anti-tank gun in the casemate and two Breda 8 mm machine guns in the turret.
