Questa nuova versione del Carro Veloce L3/35 riproduce in scala 1/72 la modifica apportata dalle officine del Regio Esercito in Libia nel 1940, che, per ovviare alla debolezza della tankette, armata solo di mitragliatrici, la dotarono come armamento supplementare del fucilone anticarro Solothurn da 20 mm, disponibile sul campo in buone quantità.
A differenza della versione maggiormente utilizzata, il IV battaglione C. C. (contro carro) non ricevette L3 con il fucilone installato al posto delle mitragliatrici, ma in aggiunta, piazzato esternamente e ruotante sun un cilindro saldato frontalmente, davanti alla casamatta del veicolo. Questo sistema aveva il pregio di incrementare la potenza di fuoco, ma a scapito della protezione per il cannoniere, che era costretto ad esporsi per fare fuoco con il Solothurn.
Nella confezione Mussini, oltre al modello sono presenti i due figurini dell'equipaggio e gli sportelli del mezzo sono separati in maniera tale da poterli montare chiusi o aperti.

This new version of the Carro Veloce L3/35 reproduces in 1/72 scale the modification carried out by the Regio Esercito workshops in Libya in 1940. To overcome the limitations of the tankette—originally armed only with machine guns—it was fitted with a 20 mm Solothurn anti-tank rifle as supplementary armament, which was available on the field in good quantities.
Unlike the more commonly used version, the IV Battaglione C. C. (contro carro - anti-tank) did not receive L3s with the rifle installed in place of the machine guns, but rather in addition to them. It was mounted externally, rotating on a cylinder welded to the front of the casemate. While this setup successfully increased firepower, it came at the cost of crew protection, as the gunner was forced to expose himself to fire the Solothurn.
This Mussini kit includes the vehicle model as well as two crew figures. The hatches are molded separately, allowing you to display them open or closed.
