Il Panzerkampfwagen II, identificato dall'esercito tedesco come SD.Kfz.121, fu il secondo veicolo corazzato prodotto in Germania dopo la prima guerra mondiale e venne ideato per rimpiazzare il Panzer I, giudicato troppo leggero, in attesa che i modelli più avanzati III e IV entrassero in produzione. Sarebbero dovuti essere questi ultimi i carri armati in dotazione alle Panzerdivision, ma quando scoppiò la guerra il 1° settembre 1939, ben pochi esemplari erano stati distribuiti ai reparti. Così il peso di sostenere gli scontri ricadde sui due modelli leggeri, inizialmente pensati in funzione di addestramento. Durante la campagna di Polonia, furono oltre 1.200 i Panzer II impiegati. E ancora all'alba dell'invasione di Francia e Paesi Bassi circa un migliaio di esemplari erano in forza ai vari panzerregiment. La versione C venne prodotta in circa 600 esemplari, tra il 1938 e l'estate del 1940.
Ogni confezione Mussini contiene 2 Panzer II in scala 1/100. I modelli sono lunghi 4,8 cm, larghi 2,3 e alti 2,15.

The Panzerkampfwagen II, identified by the Heer as SD.Kfz.121, was the second armoured vehicle produced in Germany after the First World War and was designed to replace the Panzer I, judged too light, waiting for the production of the more advanced models III and IV. The latter should have been the tanks supplied to the Panzerdivisions, but when the war broke out on 1 September 1939, very few units had been distributed to the panzer battalions. Thus the burden of supporting the clashes fell on the two light models, initially conceived for a training function. During the Polish campaign, over 1,200 Panzer IIs were employed. And still at the dawn of the invasion of France and Low Countries about a thousand of Panzer IIs were involved in the operations. The C version was produced in about 600 vehicles, between 1938 and the summer of 1940.
Each Mussini pack contains two Panzer II in 1/100 scale already assembled. The models are 4.8 cm long, 2.3 wide and 2.15 high.
