Mathilde naquit vraisemblablement en mars 1046 de Boniface III des Attonides, puissant membre de la dynastie des Attonides, et de Béatrice, duchesse de Lorraine.
Mathilde de Toscane, Grande Comtesse, plus connue sous le nom de Mathilde de Canossa, fut la femme qui, plus que toute autre et plus encore que les hommes, défendit la Papauté dans la lutte contre l'Empire
Lorsque le conflit entre la Papauté et l'Empire atteignit son paroxysme, qui fut violent, Mathilde, sans aller jusqu'à une rupture complète et définitive avec l'empereur Henri IV, se rangea ouvertement du côté de Grégoire VII et de l'Église. Elle intervint également à la Diète de Trebur, où elle adopta une position conciliatrice en vue d'un accord entre l'empereur et le pontife. L'orientation de la comtesse de Canossa fut considérée avec attention par ceux qui, tout en étant pro-impériaux, ne voulaient pas en venir à un conflit ouvert avec l'Église de Rome, et, dans l'espoir de trouver une ouverture laissant entrevoir une possibilité d'accord, Mathilde appuya l'intervention de Grégoire VII à la diète d'Augsbourg, où le pontife se proposa d'examiner la position d'Henri IV et de ses nobles partisans avec la plus grande objectivité. Toujours dans les mêmes intentions conciliatrices, la comtesse soutint le voyage du pape Grégoire VII à travers ses fiefs canossiens d'Émilie et de Lombardie et l'accueillit précisément dans la Rocca di Canossa lorsque, en janvier 1077, on apprit qu'Henri IV était parti pour l'Italie avec des objectifs pas tout à fait clairs ni pacifiques à l'égard du Pontife.
De Mathilde, femme du Moyen Âge, nous soulignons le grand courage, la détermination et la capacité de mener des actions politiques avec lucidité et constance, malgré les risques auxquels elle s'exposa, toujours certaine du bien-fondé de ses desseins et de l'issue favorable de son action politique.
Elle fut l'extraordinaire alliée d'Hildebrand de Soana, devenu le pape Grégoire VII, dont elle sut conquérir l'estime et la considération durable.
Ayant vécu longtemps pour l'époque, elle mourut le 24 juillet 1115 à Bondeno di Roncore.

Returning the goods
After notifying us of your withdrawal you have 14 days to send the products back to us. The item must be returned in its original packaging, with all the parts intact as at the time of delivery. You are responsible for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
The cost of returning the goods is at your expense, except where the product is damaged or not as described, in which case we bear it.
Refund
We will refund you all payments received, including the cost of standard outbound delivery, within 14 days of the day on which we are informed of your withdrawal. If, when placing the order, you chose a more expensive delivery than the standard one we offer, the difference remains at your expense.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or until you supply evidence of having sent them back, whichever happens first. The refund is made using the same means of payment used for the purchase, at no additional cost to you.
When the right of withdrawal does not apply
The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to measure or clearly personalised (art. 59 of the Italian Consumer Code). This category includes models painted on request and work carried out specifically for you: we always tell you before confirming the order.
Damaged, missing or defective products
If one or more items arrive damaged, or if something is missing, write to us straight away at info@mussinisas.it, attaching a photo if possible. We will send the missing or damaged parts, or replace the whole product, at no cost to you.
In addition to the right of withdrawal, as a consumer you are entitled to the 24-month legal guarantee of conformity from delivery, provided for by articles 128 et seq. of the Italian Consumer Code. In the event of a lack of conformity you may request the repair or replacement of the goods and, under the conditions laid down by law, a price reduction or the termination of the contract.
Where we accept returns from
We accept returns from any country. For purchases made outside the European Union the same conditions described here apply; any customs duties and import taxes already paid are not refundable by us.
