Der Lkw Morris CS8 entstand 1934 auf eine Anforderung des War Office nach einem Mehrzweckfahrzeug der 15-cwt-Klasse (750 kg Nutzlast). Morris Commercial Cars griff auf seine Erfahrung im zivilen Bereich zurück und schlug eine Variante seiner Lkw der C-Serie von 1933 vor, die die Bezeichnung Morris CS8 erhielt. Der Name spiegelt die wichtigsten Merkmale wider: „C“ für Commercial, „S“ für den Sechszylindermotor, und die „8“ gab den Radstand in Fuß an.
Dieses Modell, auch als Platoon Truck (Zug-Lkw) bezeichnet, war ein großer Erfolg: Mit über 21.000 Exemplaren in drei aufeinanderfolgenden Versionen (Marks) wurde es zu einem der wichtigsten Fahrzeuge im Fuhrpark der British Army. Der CS8 wurde für zahlreiche Aufgaben angepasst, unter anderem als Gefechtsstand, Funkstelle, Wasser- und Tankwagen, Kompressorfahrzeug und Panzerabwehrfahrzeug (2-Pfünder-Portee). Dank seiner Vielseitigkeit und Robustheit wurde der CS8 zum Vorbild der späteren Lkw-Familie Canadian Military Pattern.
1942 wurde der CS8 durch ein Modell mit Vierzylindermotor ersetzt, den Morris C4, den es in zwei Versionen gab, die sich vor allem im Radstand unterschieden. Im Verlauf des Zweiten Weltkriegs wurden der Morris CS8 und der C4 nach und nach durch die moderneren Morris C8 und Morris C8 GS mit Allradantrieb 4×4 abgelöst.
Eine modifizierte Version des CS8 mit auf 9 Fuß verlängertem Fahrgestell diente als Basis für den Panzerspähwagen Morris CS9. Obwohl nur rund 100 Exemplare gebaut wurden, kam er bei der British Expeditionary Force in Frankreich und auf dem nordafrikanischen Kriegsschauplatz zum Einsatz. Seine Leistungen litten jedoch unter dem 4×2-Antrieb und dem zu hohen Gewicht, vor allem im Gefecht auf schwierigem Gelände wie in der Wüste.
Der Morris CS8 ist als Symbol für die Vielseitigkeit und die logistische Leistungsfähigkeit der britischen Armee in einer der kritischsten Phasen des 20. Jahrhunderts in die Geschichte eingegangen.

Right of withdrawal: 14 days

Returning the goods
After notifying us of your withdrawal you have 14 days to send the products back to us. The item must be returned in its original packaging, with all the parts intact as at the time of delivery. You are responsible for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
The cost of returning the goods is at your expense, except where the product is damaged or not as described, in which case we bear it.
Refund
We will refund you all payments received, including the cost of standard outbound delivery, within 14 days of the day on which we are informed of your withdrawal. If, when placing the order, you chose a more expensive delivery than the standard one we offer, the difference remains at your expense.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or until you supply evidence of having sent them back, whichever happens first. The refund is made using the same means of payment used for the purchase, at no additional cost to you.
When the right of withdrawal does not apply
The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to measure or clearly personalised (art. 59 of the Italian Consumer Code). This category includes models painted on request and work carried out specifically for you: we always tell you before confirming the order.
Damaged, missing or defective products
If one or more items arrive damaged, or if something is missing, write to us straight away at info@mussinisas.it, attaching a photo if possible. We will send the missing or damaged parts, or replace the whole product, at no cost to you.
In addition to the right of withdrawal, as a consumer you are entitled to the 24-month legal guarantee of conformity from delivery, provided for by articles 128 et seq. of the Italian Consumer Code. In the event of a lack of conformity you may request the repair or replacement of the goods and, under the conditions laid down by law, a price reduction or the termination of the contract.
Where we accept returns from
We accept returns from any country. For purchases made outside the European Union the same conditions described here apply; any customs duties and import taxes already paid are not refundable by us.
