Il bassorilievo è liberamente ispirato alla figura leggendaria della famosa pirata ANNE BONNY.
Anne Bonny è stata una pirata irlandese attiva in bande di bucanieri, che operavano nelle acque dei Mari dei Caraibi. Le date di nascita e morte non sono certe e le poche notizie biografiche su di lei derivano dai racconti del capitano Charles Johnson, biografo dei bucanieri, contenuti in Storia generale dei pirati.
Anne viene descritta come un "ragazzaccio", con i capelli corti rossi, il viso sporco e i vestiti perennemente a brandelli. Crebbe sviluppando un carattere fiero e, prima ancora di abbandonare la vita borghese cui sembrava destinata, mostrava sorprendenti doti di coraggio, come quando, in occasione di un tentativo di violenza carnale da parte di un giovane, reagì, secondo le memorie di Capitan Johnson, rendendolo inabile per un tempo considerevole. Si diceva che avesse ucciso la propria cameriera con un coltello da cucina, ma, se questa può essere solo una diceria, vera fu la rissa in cui, a 18 anni, respinse a sediate un pretendente troppo insistente.
Quando intraprese la sua "carriera" come pirata si diceva che lei fosse considerata pericolosa e coraggiosa quanto ogni altro uomo della ciurma, e pare fosse addetta al trasporto delle cariche esplosive.
La fine della sua vita è incerta, alcuni dicono che morì in prigione, altri che si sposò e morì in South Carolina come donna rispettata, all'età di ottanta anni, il 22 aprile 1782.

The bas-relief is freely inspired by the legendary character of the famous pirate ANNE BONNY.
Anne Bonny was an Irish pirate, which operated in the waters of the Caribbean Seas. The dates of her birth and death are not certain and the few biographical information about her derive from the stories of Captain Charles Johnson, biographer of the buccaneers, contained in the General History of the Pirates.
Anne is described as a "bad boy", with short red hair, a dirty face and perpetually tattered clothes. He grew up developing a proud temper and, even before abandoning the bourgeois life to which he seemed destined, showed surprising qualities of courage, as when, on the occasion of an attempt of rape by a young man, he reacted, according to the memoirs of Captain Johnson, rendering him incapacitated for a considerable time. She was said to have killed her own maid with a kitchen knife, but if this can only be a rumor, true was the brawl in which she, at 18, pushed an overly insistent suitor into sitting down.
When she embarked on her "career" as a pirate it was said that she was considered as dangerous and courageous as any other man in the crew, and she apparently was in charge of transporting the explosive charges.
The end of her life is uncertain, some say she died in prison, others that she married and she died in South Carolina as a respected woman, at the age of eighty, on April 22, 1782.

Product Notes
The bas-reliefs of our production are hand-cast into molds using very fine high quality ceramic powder that creates smooth and delicate surfaces that highlight all the smallest details of the sculpture. After drying, the piece is treated on the surface with waxes to better finish the product that can be painted with both oil and acrylic even without the addition of a primer.

Returning the goods
After notifying us of your withdrawal you have 14 days to send the products back to us. The item must be returned in its original packaging, with all the parts intact as at the time of delivery. You are responsible for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
The cost of returning the goods is at your expense, except where the product is damaged or not as described, in which case we bear it.
Refund
We will refund you all payments received, including the cost of standard outbound delivery, within 14 days of the day on which we are informed of your withdrawal. If, when placing the order, you chose a more expensive delivery than the standard one we offer, the difference remains at your expense.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or until you supply evidence of having sent them back, whichever happens first. The refund is made using the same means of payment used for the purchase, at no additional cost to you.
When the right of withdrawal does not apply
The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to measure or clearly personalised (art. 59 of the Italian Consumer Code). This category includes models painted on request and work carried out specifically for you: we always tell you before confirming the order.
Damaged, missing or defective products
If one or more items arrive damaged, or if something is missing, write to us straight away at info@mussinisas.it, attaching a photo if possible. We will send the missing or damaged parts, or replace the whole product, at no cost to you.
In addition to the right of withdrawal, as a consumer you are entitled to the 24-month legal guarantee of conformity from delivery, provided for by articles 128 et seq. of the Italian Consumer Code. In the event of a lack of conformity you may request the repair or replacement of the goods and, under the conditions laid down by law, a price reduction or the termination of the contract.
Where we accept returns from
We accept returns from any country. For purchases made outside the European Union the same conditions described here apply; any customs duties and import taxes already paid are not refundable by us.
